Failure to properly follow all warnings and operating instructions for the Rear Automatic Braking (RAB) system in the Nissan Armada may result in serious injury or even fatal accidents.

• The Nissan Armada RAB system is designed as a supplemental driver assistance feature and should never be considered a substitute for attentive and responsible driving.

  Always check your surroundings carefully by using side and rearview mirrors and by physically turning to look in the direction of travel before and during reversing. Never rely solely on the Nissan Armada RAB system. The driver must remain alert, maintain full control, and ensure safe maneuvering of the vehicle at all times.

• The Nissan Armada RAB system has operational limitations and may not function effectively in every situation or environment.

The Rear Automatic Braking system in the Nissan Armada is designed to assist the driver while reversing by monitoring the area directly behind the vehicle. If an obstacle is detected and the driver does not respond in time, the system can automatically apply the brakes to help prevent a collision or significantly reduce the severity of an impact.

This advanced safety feature enhances driver confidence during parking and low-speed maneuvers, especially in tight or obstructed spaces.

Example

The Nissan Armada RAB system utilizes sonar sensors integrated into the rear bumper to detect objects behind the vehicle. These sensors continuously scan the surrounding area and provide real-time feedback to support safer reversing.

NOTE:

The Nissan Armada RAB system can be temporarily disabled by selecting the RAB temporary ON/OFF option via the touch screen display, allowing the driver to adjust system behavior depending on specific driving conditions.
