- Removal Procedure

- Disconnect the electrical connector from the backup lamp switch?€‰(1).
- Remove the backup lamp switch?€‰(1) from the transmission.
- Remove and DISCARD the backup lamp switch washer from the backup lamp switch.
- Installation Procedure

- Install a NEW backup lamp switch washer on the backup lamp switch?€‰(1).
- Install the backup lamp switch?€‰(1) into the transmission case, and
tighten to 20?€‰Y (15?€‰lb?€‰ft).
- Connect the electrical connector to the backup lamp switch?€‰(1).
