Front Side Door Lock Cylinder Rod Replacement

Preliminary Procedure

  1. Remove the rear side door window rear guide. Refer to Rear Side Door Window Rear Guide Replacement.
  2. Remove the rear side door lock. Refer to Rear Side Door Latch Replacement.

Rear Side Door Lock Cylinder Rod

Procedure

  1. Place the window in the full up position.
  2. Remove the water deflector.
  3. In order to prevent outside handle lever pre-load, lock, outside handle, handle bracket and cover/cap shall be fully secured to the door prior to securing integral lock clip to outside handle rod. Integral lock clip shall be in the full up position while securing to outside handle rod. Refer to Front Side Door Outside Handle Rod Adjustment.

Tip:

Inspect the door lock system for proper operation before installing the door trim panel.
