Heater and Air Conditioning Evaporator and Blower Module Removal and Installation

Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling.
  3. Remove the instrument panel tie bar. Refer to Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement.
  4. Disconnect the HVAC module electrical connectors.
  5. Remove the air conditioning evaporator hose assembly from the thermal expansion valve. Refer to Air Conditioning Evaporator Hose Assembly Replacement.
  6. Remove the heater outlet hose if equipped. Refer to Heater Outlet Hose Replacement.
  7. Remove the heater inlet hose if equipped. Refer to Heater Inlet Hose Replacement.

Caution:

Refer to Fastener Caution.

Tighten
