Chevrolet Sonic Repair Manual: Radiator Mounting Stud Repair
- Repair Procedure

- Pressure test the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Leak Testing.
- Grind the fracture surface (1) with a proper tool.
- Drill a hole in the center of the fractured surface, using a 6 mm (0.24 in)
drill.
- Install the new radiator mounting pin (2).
Note:
If the radiator is leaky, replace it. Refer to Radiator Replacement.

- Install the nut (3).
- Install the radiator mounting pin (2) with the bolt (1).
Note:
The bolt should not be longer than 35 mm (1.38 in)

Caution:
Refer to Fastener Caution.
- Tighten the bolt 5 Y (44 lb in)
