WARNING
Although steering control remains, increased effort will be required to maneuver the vehicle safely.
The electric power steering system in the Nissan Armada is designed to provide smooth and responsive steering with minimal effort during normal driving conditions, enhancing comfort and control.
When SPORT mode is activated (if equipped), the Nissan Armada steering feel becomes firmer, providing a more dynamic and engaging driving experience.
During low-speed maneuvers such as parking, repeated or continuous steering input may cause the Nissan Armada system to temporarily reduce power assist. This protective feature prevents overheating of the electric power steering components.
When assist is reduced, the steering wheel will feel heavier. Once the system cools down, normal steering assistance will automatically return. To avoid this condition, minimize excessive steering movements at low speeds.
A slight noise may be heard when turning the steering wheel quickly in the Nissan Armada. This is a normal operational characteristic and does not indicate a malfunction.
If the electric power steering warning light
illuminates while the engine is running, it may indicate a system issue requiring
attention. In this case, have the Nissan Armada inspected as soon as possible. It
is recommended to visit an authorized NISSAN dealer for proper diagnosis and repair.
When the warning light is on, steering assistance will be reduced or disabled. While the Nissan Armada remains controllable, significantly more effort will be required, particularly when making tight turns or driving at low speeds.
