Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Owner's Manual: Overview
The Nissan Armada ProPILOT Assist system is an advanced driver assistance technology
designed specifically for controlled-access highways. It is not intended for urban
streets or rural roads. This system supports the driver by helping maintain lane
centering and keeping a preset following distance from the vehicle ahead traveling
in the same lane, enhancing comfort and confidence during long-distance driving.
The Nissan Armada offers multiple levels of ProPILOT Assist functionality, each
building upon the previous with additional intelligent features:
ProPILOT Assist:
- Intelligent Cruise Control for adaptive speed management
- Steering Assist to help maintain lane positioning
ProPILOT Assist 1.1 (if so equipped) (includes features of ProPILOT Assist):
- Speed Adjust by Route for optimized driving based on navigation data
- Speed Limit Assist for recognizing and adapting to speed limits
- Extended stop capability for traffic situations
ProPILOT Assist 2.1 (if so equipped) (includes features of ProPILOT Assist
1.1):
- Steering Assist enhanced with HD map data for higher precision
- Lane Change Assist for guided lane transitions
- Passing Assist for safer overtaking maneuvers
NOTE:
- Nissan Armada ProPILOT Assist basic functions operate independently
without external data.
- ProPILOT Assist 1.1 requires navigation system integration and an active
subscription.
- ProPILOT Assist 2.1 requires HD map data availability and an active
subscription service.

read and understand the Owner’s Manual before using these systems.
- Do not rely on ProPILOT Assist systems to handle emergency situations
or prevent collisions.
- Use Nissan Armada ProPILOT Assist only under appropriate traffic and
road conditions.
- This system is designed exclusively for highway use and must not be used
in city environments.
- ProPILOT Assist is not an autonomous driving system; it is designed to
assist—not replace—the driver.
- The driver is always responsible for maintaining safe control of the
Nissan Armada, including steering, braking, and awareness.
- These systems are support features and not collision avoidance technologies.
- System performance may be limited depending on road, weather, and traffic
conditions. Never rely solely on ProPILOT Assist.
- Always wear your seat belt. Removing it will deactivate ProPILOT Assist
systems.
- Always obey posted speed limits when using ProPILOT Assist in your Nissan
Armada.
- Pressing the accelerator disables automatic braking and distance control.
The driver must manually maintain a safe distance.
- Maintain a safe following distance at all times; failure to do so may
result in severe injury or death.
- Keep your hands on the steering wheel unless conditions clearly allow
hands-free operation (ProPILOT Assist 2.1 only).
- Steering Assist is designed for highways with gentle curves only.
- The system does not steer to avoid obstacles, merging vehicles, or side
hazards.
- Lane Change Assist and Passing Assist only assist; they do not guarantee
collision avoidance.
- In fixed-speed cruise control mode, no warning is given for vehicles
ahead—maintain awareness at all times.
- Always confirm the settings in the ICC display before driving.
- Do not use cruise control in conditions such as:
- Heavy or variable traffic
- Winding or steep roads
- Slippery surfaces (rain, snow, ice)
- Strong winds
- Situations where maintaining constant speed is unsafe
For optimal safety and performance, always use Nissan Armada ProPILOT Assist
