Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Owner's Manual: Seat belt extenders
If, due to body size or seating position, the standard lap-shoulder belt in the Nissan Armada cannot be comfortably or properly fastened, a compatible seat belt extender is available. This accessory is specifically designed to work with the original seat belt system installed in the Nissan Armada.
The extender increases the belt length by approximately 8 inches (200 mm) and can be used for both front and rear outboard seating positions. For proper fitment and safety, it is recommended to consult an authorized NISSAN dealer when purchasing a seat belt extender for the Nissan Armada.
WARNING
- Only genuine NISSAN seat belt extenders, produced by the same manufacturer as the original seat belts, should be used in the Nissan Armada to ensure compatibility and safety.
- Seat belt extenders should not be used by adults or children who can properly use the standard seat belt. Unnecessary use may increase the risk of serious injury during a collision.
- Never use seat belt extenders to secure child restraint systems in the Nissan Armada. Improper installation may result in severe injury or death in the event of an accident or sudden stop.
Seat belt maintenance
To maintain seat belt performance in the Nissan Armada, clean the webbing using a mild soap solution or a product suitable for upholstery or carpet care. After cleaning, wipe the belts with a soft cloth and allow them to dry naturally in the shade.
Do not allow the seat belts to retract until they are completely dry, as moisture may affect proper operation.
- If dirt accumulates in the shoulder belt guide of the Nissan Armada, the belt may retract more slowly. Clean the guide with a dry, soft cloth to restore smooth operation.
- Regularly inspect all seat belt components, including buckles, tongues, retractors, cables, and anchor points. If any signs of wear, looseness, fraying, or damage are detected, the entire seat belt assembly should be replaced immediately.
