Nissan Armada 2025-2026 Owner's Manual: System temporarily unavailable

Nissan Armada AEB system temporarily unavailable warning display

While operating the Nissan Armada, certain road environments such as winding mountain routes, steep inclines, sharp curves, narrow lanes, or areas under construction can temporarily affect the performance of the driver assistance systems. In these situations, the sensors may incorrectly identify vehicles in adjacent lanes or fail to detect a vehicle directly ahead. As a result, the Nissan Armada safety system may behave unpredictably or respond in a manner that does not match real driving conditions.

Additionally, vehicle dynamics such as steering input, lane positioning, or sudden directional changes may influence how accurately the system detects surrounding traffic. Under these circumstances, the Nissan Armada may issue unexpected warnings, including a blinking system indicator and audible alerts. When this occurs, the driver must take full control and maintain a safe following distance manually, as reliance on the system may be reduced.

System malfunction

Condition A

In specific situations, the Nissan Armada AEB system OFF warning light will illuminate, and a message such as "Driving Aids Temporarily disabled Clean sensor area See Owner's Manual" will appear in the vehicle information display. When this happens, the system will automatically deactivate to ensure safety.

Action to take:

Ensure that the windshield area in front of the camera is completely clean and free from fog, frost, or debris. Proper visibility is essential for the Nissan Armada advanced safety systems to function correctly.

If required, activate the maximum defogging or defrosting function, or use the windshield deicer (if equipped). Clearing the obstruction may take several minutes depending on conditions.

Once the obstruction is removed and normal visibility is restored, the Nissan Armada AEB with Pedestrian Detection system will automatically resume operation without additional input.

Condition B

Under certain lighting or visibility conditions, the Nissan Armada may display the AEB system OFF warning light along with the message "Driving Aids Temporarily limited Poor Visibility".

Action to take:

When environmental conditions improve and visibility returns to normal, the Nissan Armada driver assistance system will automatically reactivate and continue normal operation.

Condition C

If the front camera temperature becomes excessively high, the Nissan Armada system will display the AEB OFF warning light along with the message "Driving Aids temporarily limited Front Camera Too Hot".

Action to take:

Allow the system to cool down naturally. Once the camera temperature returns to an acceptable range, the Nissan Armada AEB system will automatically resume normal functionality.

Condition D

The Nissan Armada may also show a "Driving Aids temporarily limited" warning if internal system checks do not complete successfully or if the vehicle is being towed.

Action to take:

After the issue is resolved or the towing condition ends, the Nissan Armada safety system will automatically return to normal operation.

Condition E

Radar interference may trigger the AEB OFF warning light and display the message "Driving Aids Temporarily limited Radar interference" in the Nissan Armada.

Action to take:

Once the interference is no longer present, the Nissan Armada AEB system will automatically resume its full functionality.

Condition F

If the radar sensor area at the front of the Nissan Armada becomes blocked or dirty, the system will display "Driving Aids Temporarily disabled Clean sensor area See Owner's Manual".

Action to take:

Stop the Nissan Armada in a safe location, switch off the engine, and carefully clean the radar sensor area using a soft cloth. After restarting the engine, check whether the warning message disappears. If the issue persists, it is strongly recommended to have the system inspected by an authorized Nissan dealer.

Action to take:

When normal driving conditions return, the Nissan Armada system will automatically resume proper operation.

Condition G

If the Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) system is turned OFF, the Nissan Armada AEB braking function will be disabled. In this case, only visual and audible warnings will remain active. The system will display "Limited driver's aid VDC setting OFF" along with an illuminated warning light.

Action to take:

Re-enable the VDC system to restore full functionality of the Nissan Armada AEB with Pedestrian Detection system. Once activated, the system will resume automatically and continue assisting the driver under normal conditions.
